Dear Gotham,
I am pleased to announce my first collection of poems entitled Juice was released October 4, 2019 from Regal House Publishing. It’s been a long time coming—two decades of writing.
It was at the beginning of these two decades I began classes in poetry at Gotham—first, Poetry I with Geoffrey Nutter in the spring of 2003, another Poetry I in the summer with Terri Brown-Davidson, a year off, then a class in Poetry II with Jason Schneiderman in the fall of 2004 and four years later, Poetry II with Matthew Lippman. Over the years, Matthew has continued to support me in a variety of endeavors and does so to this day.
Few words can express the debt of gratitude I carry in my bookbag and pencil box for these folks. I owe much to each of them and to Gotham in general for the opportunities they provide for those of us who are simply living to write and at the same time, having to earn a living.
My very best to everyone—Dana Miller, all of the teachers, students, NYC, and those of us scribbling away in the hinterlands.
