Catherine Coulter is the author of suspense novels such as Split Second and Back Fire.
What is your method for overcoming writer’s block?
Actually, I don't believe in writers block. What I believe in is that if you have a bad plot, you ain't going anywhere—so toss out the bad plot and trust that another one will come driving out of that plot parking lot in your brain.
What are your favorite or most helpful writing prompts?
Best writing prompts: Be disciplined—work at the same time every day (except weekends, go skiing or swimming, whatever seems most appropriate) and ALWAYS PRODUCE NEW PAGES.
What is the most valuable advice you received as a young writer?
I could make something up here, but why? I can't think of any really necessary advice from anyone when I started out, sorry.
